The team provided an update on the Buddhism in Australia survey, the first nationwide survey of its kind, offered in English and six community languages. They thanked Sangha members and community leaders for helping to promote the survey, which has now reached close to 3,000 responses. Plans were also discussed to increase responses through major community events around Vesak, and Sangha members and community leaders were invited to continue to support the initiative.
Venerable Chokyi commended the team for their comprehensive work. In her closing remarks, Anna Halafoff expressed her hope that the project would raise awareness among Buddhists of the shared history of diverse Buddhist traditions in Australia, and in doing so help strengthen connections across Buddhist communities today.
