On 23 November, Anna Halafoff, Juewei Shi and Hannah Gould presented in the “Buddhism in Australia” panel, part of the “Buddhism in the West” unit, presided by Brooke Schedneck of Rhodes College, at the Annual Conference of the American Academy of Religion at San Diego. We recognise the Triple Gem of Buddhism: the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. Together, they make up the lineage, philosophy, and community of Buddhism that the Buddhism in Australia Research Team has embraced to deepen our engagement, reflection and scholarly investigation.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of Country throughout Australia. We pay our respects to all First Nations peoples and acknowledge Elders past and present.
